The Opportunity

Reporting to the Export Manager, you will be responsible for being a support to the Export Team to facilitate the movement and tracking of inventory from point of purchase to point of sale. The position will be responsible for working with transportation providers, wholesale automotive auctions, dealerships, Registered Importers, and titling services to maintain efficient and timely processing of vehicles being exported.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Managing transportation of inventory in Canada and the United States.
  • Keeping accurate records of movements of inventory to maintain efficient movement.
  • Expedite delivery of goods with both domestic and foreign transportation providers.
  • Submit formal Requests for Quotation (RFQ’s) to suppliers.
  • Maintain vehicle files for titling and Registered Importer needs.
  • Data entry for purchases in process.
  • Communicate with freight forwarders and coordinate documents required for foreign shipments, both import and export.
  • Constantly and proactively look for opportunities to assist in the department.

Your Capabilities and Credentials

  • Requires a high school diploma, or equivalent.
  • Background in Logistics would be considered an asset.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong math skills.
  • Possess a "can do", positive attitude.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment with an ability to multi-task and set priorities to meet deadlines.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Dependable and reliable.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
